Plot Layout Method of Field Experiment for Wheat with Border Irrigation Based on Soil Water Content Heterogeneity

The objective of this research was to improve the accuracy and representativeness experimental plot studies by determining optimum area replication number for winter wheat with border irrigation. Considering spatial distribution soil water content, effect in relation crop growth, lateral seepage water, we sought study optimize specifications irrigation experiment plots different levels replicates. results show that consisted two parts—the core guard area. most suitable area, a single level without replicates, 60–80 m2. can be arranged replicates per 40 m2, differences moisture content between treatments reaching more than 15% at levels. Each comprised or if they were 20 then contained three replicates; when contents differed 10% 15%, each replicate 80 comprising 30 m2 When difference exceeded levels, containing 50 rectangular, furrows dug lengthwise; therefore, had aspect ratios 7:1 5:1. width buffer over 60 cm. on plant height LAI primarily emerged one rows (20–60 cm) jointing stage, while grain yield biomass mainly (20–40 cm). conclusions will inform development surface methods silt loam northern Henan, as reference optimizing employing textures.
